Ah! Refrigeration. Thanks to Scotsman William Cullen, we can now enjoy all sorts of food cold, and keep them preserved much longer, even that dreaded leftover meatloaf. It’s hard to imagine a time when the closest thing we had to refrigeration was keeping meats packed in ice by a cold stream. How could we possibly live without it?
